Emotional Damage

Iiving beyond the pain.

"I started meeting with Jamey about 7 years ago, after the untimely death of my wife. On our first meeting I remember Jamey asking me,'how was life growing up?' I told him that things were just great...that was the mask I was wearing for people.

 

But thank God, Jamey saw right through it. And through patient and sometimes painful sessions, my emotional damage began to, for the first time, be shared with someone. I grew to have a great trust with Jamey, and was able to share things with him I'd never talked about before.

 

I thought that emotional damage was something I just had to live with. Through Jamey's genuinely kind and caring assistance, I have grown by leaps and bounds. I now understand that all of our behavioral issues stem from some emotional root. I was willing to work and find that root in my life.

 

As a father, the tools for understanding this simple yet complicated equation, have proven themselves priceless, over and over again.

 

Jamey has a true gift in the field of understanding the absolute need for an emotionally healthy life...I don't know where I'd be today of it weren't for the fact that Jamey saw something in me that I didn't want to admit was there, severe emotional damage.

 

Jamey, graciously gave of himself, to help this dope using, street hustling, mental and emotional wreak. I wouldn't be the man I am today without him."
